travelogue about trip to thriparappu padmanabhapuram palace and kanyakumari

i got a chance to go to kanyakumari.though i have went there many times it was all
long back.on the way to kanyakumari we have the thriparappu waterfall and also the
magnificient Padmanabhapuram palace. It was really great to see these places after a
long time.

it was a rainy season but thank God that day the sky did not open up very hard.
at thiraparappu it was more green because of the rain and so it was more picturesque
and there we got a unique picture of a dog standing on top of the waterfall

then our next destination was the padmanabhapuram palace.No words can describe this
magnificent palace. It looks new and different each i pay a visit. it shows the able
artists who build this grand structure and also shows the power of the king. One thing
that stuck my mind was that people who visits these palace make writings on the walls
showing disrespect to our heritage. we must never encourage that. to know more about the palace check the below link

our final destination was kanyakumari and it was as beautiful as ever. The new thing
that was there in kanyakumari that i never saw before was the thiru valluvar statue
It was right beside the swami Vivekananda rock memorial. It was great too and walls on
the way to the top of the statue was written with excerpts from valluvar's poetry

phew after these we were all really tired. but it was great visiting these places
after such a long time. but it was real fun with the get together and need to make
such trips often to refresh ourself during one's hectic work schedule
